CCTV At Chichester Avenue Car Park

📢 HIBHA is pleased to confirm that CCTV cameras will be installed at the Chichester Avenue toilet block during the week commencing 6th April. This is a positive step forward for our community, helping to monitor the area and deter anti-social behaviour—benefiting all beach hut owners and visitors.

☕ Join us for our first Coffee & Chat!
We’re delighted that Donna Jones, Hampshire and Isle of Wight Police and Crime Commissioner, will be joining us for our informal Coffee & Chat with the committee on Monday 6th April at 11am. Donna will be speaking about the CCTV project, which was funded through her Anti-Social Behaviour (ASB) Fund. Donna will be accompanied by her Deputy, Alex Rennie, and local councillors Mark Coates and Jonathan Hulls will also be in attendance.

This is a great opportunity for hutters to raise any concerns around anti-social behaviour, vandalism, and related issues directly with Donna and her team. It’s also a chance to meet fellow hutters, enjoy a relaxed and friendly social catch-up, and spend some time together as a community.

We’ll be gathering near Jane’s hut and my “shed” by the disabled boardwalk. The coffee van will be open, or feel free to bring your own refreshments—and don’t forget to bring a chair!

👉 Please let us know in the comments if you’re able to attend—we’d love to see you there!

Finally, a reminder that the committee remains fully committed to challenging fees, licences, and services on behalf of members. We are not a “new” association, four of our current committee members are founders, continuing to support and represent you.

HIBHA is now a year old!

Looking forward to seeing you all soon!
