📢 HIBHA is pleased to confirm that CCTV cameras will be installed at the Chichester Avenue toilet block during the week commencing 6th April. This is a positive step forward for our community, helping to monitor the area and deter anti-social behaviour—benefiting all beach hut owners and visitors.
More than 70 beach hut owners and supporters gathered on 8 March for the first Annual General Meeting of the Hayling Island Beach Hut Association at the Hayling Community Centre. The meeting was also attended by local councillors Jonathan Hulls and Mark Coates, reflecting the growing interest in the Association and its work on behalf of beach hut licence holders.
Our First Annual General Meeting (AGM) will take place at Hayling Island Community Centre, Station Road, Hayling Island on 8th March 2026 starting at 5pm. please find our Agenda and the nominations for the Committee.
Beach hut invoices will be issued shortly. The Council has advised that outstanding fees will now be actively followed up and licences may not be renewed where payments remain unpaid.
The Hayling Island Beach Hut Association (HIBHA) is aware that some beach hut licencees have recently received non-domestic (business) rate demands.
Hayling Island Beach Hut Association (HIBHA) was formed after two meetings of Beach Hut owners on Hayling seafront at Easter 2025, following the significant increase in Licence fees by Havant Borough Council. Those present agreed to create an Association, and Andy was widely supported to lead. A Committee was formed from volunteers at those meetings and began working immediately to challenge the Council.
